New Officers have been elected for 2010

President:
Dale Boschetto

After a long hiatus from riding, I
went for the MC Safety course, in ’01, and, with the help of one of the PCMC
Club members found myself back in the saddle again.
Now, only five bikes later, I am a contented
Sport Touring rider.
I joined the club in ’03 and served as the VP
from ’04 to ’07 and as Treasurer in 08 and 09.
I am a happily retired person and make good use
of the club day rides and tours to expand my traveling experiences. I
am pleased to serve as President for 2010.

When I was 20 years old, my teenage fantasy of riding a motorcycle stirred
again (a friend had ridden a Norton Atlas and he was the coolest guy in the
world). So I asked a guy I knew, who had ridden dirt bikes since he was a
little kid, what he thought about me learning to ride. He told me that I was
too old, that I’d never have the reflexes I would need to ride. So I gave
the idea up. Until I turned 54.
The summer of my 54th year I took an MSF course (the only one in
the class who had never touched a motorcycle in his life), passed, bought a
Suzuki SV 650, and have, as they say, never looked back.
Now I ride a 2006 BMW R1200RT on most club rides, and the SV 650
occasionally with the club and often around town. This club has been a great
way to meet other riders, explore multi-day trips and group riding, and make
some friends. We have a relaxed riding style and anyone can ride at the
front of the group one day and at the rear another.
We welcome all riders and bikes. Come give us a try!

My first motorcycle was a 250cc two stroke Jawa which I purchased in 1964
and immediately rode off to college (so my parents wouldn’t find out I
bought it, which, of course, they did anyway). It wasn’t much to look at or
ride but it was all I could afford back then. For many years my motorcycling
was off-road, competing in enduros and riding dual sport events. However, I
always liked British bikes from the 50s and 60s, so slowly my garage has
acquired a British flavor. Sport touring and track days at Miller
Motorsports Park are a big part of my riding these days. I am relatively
new to the PCMC, as my wife and I moved here from Pennsylvania in early 2006
and joined the club shortly thereafter. Since then, I have become very
impressed with PCMC, its officers, rides and social events. As vice
president of the club I look forward to continuing the tone and direction
the club has been on for the past several years.
